Easy Ways to Record in Person Lectures
In December, Dr. Corey Flynn shared some of the ways instructors might easily record their in-person lectures at the Science Teaching Forum. The session was recorded and uploaded to the campus video hub https://yuja.ucalgary.ca.
There are a few great points here, particularly that instructors are *not* required to record and are not expected to do twice the work. That being said, from Dr. Flynn’s surveys of his students, students are strongly in favour of having recorded lectures available. If it’s possible to record for only a little extra effort, then it may be worth it.
Dr. Flynn outlines four different scenarios for recording, using the equipment available in most University of Calgary classrooms and then going on to a few tools you might have available to bring to class.
